With a passion for giving back to the earth and keeping my body clean, Kaitiakitanga'a small action, big impact assignment was a chance for me to express my passion and create something that could possibly help others in the future. CutitOut was created to communicate a positive, catchy, educational and supportive place for users to visit. I wanted to emphazie the community connection through my copy writing and images which then creates emotive responses in the user, giving them a sense to understand how little we do for the planet in return and how our diet is a small action that can help by change. My design direction I chose was based off clean graphics, sophistication, and simplicity. The colour scheme is to keep users continuously thinking about the planet whilst searching the site. The colour green and white together is what makes CutitOut unique as it embedds in users minds when they associate CutitOut away from screen time. Monday 25th May Zoom Lecture - Tim's Lecture - Coding  Indpendent Study  - Continue practising coding (HTML CSS)  - Look at the resources  Recipe Ideas: Start this recipe with the potatoes. Peel them and wash the potatoes with cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel. Peel the onion as well but do not cut or slice. Take a mandolin slicer and coarsely grate the potatoes and onion. Put the mix of potatoes and onion in a clean tea towel. Then twist the towel to squeeze out the excess liquid. Keep on twisting and squeezing until no excess liquid comes out. You will be surprised to see how much liquid you can squeeze out. Put the potato-onion mixture in a large bowl. Beat a medium size egg and add to the mixture. Stir to combine. Add a good pinch of salt and pepper. Put in more than you would normally do without it the hash browns will taste bland. Thoroughly mix the ingredients.
